I am one of those people still in shock that Michael Jackson died yesterday, aged just 50.

When I was born Michael Jackson was already on the world stage for over 15 years. Nonetheless, like so many people born since, I became one of his biggest fans.

A few months ago, when it was announced that Michael Jackson was going to do a set of shows at the London O2 Arena, I was overjoyed at the chance of seeing the legend perform live, right before my very own eyes.  Unfortunately, though I tried so hard, I was not lucky enough to secure any of the tickets, which were sold out within minutes.

I had second thoughts about buying tickets on the aftermarkets such as Ebay, but thought I should wait to see if the shows were really going to go  ahead. Of course there were still huge risks that Michael would not be well enough for the shows, and the rumours were doing their usual circuits.

Of all the things that could have happened, I would never ever have imagined that Michael Jackson, the superstar and legend that appeared here in London at the O2 Arena just a few months ago to personally make the announcement about the upcoming shows, would not even live to see the date of first show.

What a tragedy. I was stuck in front of the TV last night here in London wondering if this was really happening. How could this really happen?

I guess the dream is over. I will never se Michael Jackson perform live! Never .

My heart goes out to his family and all of his millions of fans.
