Anyway, we are now sending domains to auction on a daily basis here at eBusinessDomains.com. We will aim to have at least 5 domains in auction at any given time. Our reserves will be between $99 and $999.

This is another step we are taking as we prepare to launch our full-scale advertising campaigns to target end-users.

In my last musings, I stated that we would be making some exciting announcements this week. Our email subscribers should have already received the news. Now it’s time to announce to our blog subscribers.

Submitting Domains To The eBusinessDomains.com Marketplace
We have now rectified our domain submission issues. You can now resume submitting domains via your User Control Panel. We will try to process the names as quickly as possible.

At the moment you can only submit one domain at a time. From our experience, we have seen that when people submit domains in bulk, they do not follow any due diligence procedures in ensuring that they are submitting quality domain names and/or sorting domains into their respective categories.

If you do not have the time to carefully select your best domains to list on our marketplace, then we will surely not have the time do your work for you.

We believe in quality, not quantity. We get domain submission everyday, and despite the fact we provide clear submission guidelines we get domains with numbers, dashes, extensions that we do not accept and so on.

Maintaining a marketplace that deals solely with quality C.O.M.M.E.R.C.I.A.L. domains is a key component of our branding strategy. We will uphold it at all costs.

So please only submit domains that are C.O.M.M.E.R.C.I.A.L.

Editing Your Domains
You can now edit your domain names after they are approved for listing. You can change prices, categories and more.

Submitting Domains To Auctions
The most exciting thing that you will notice is that you can now submit your domains for auctions. Admin will then have to approve each domain for auction.

Our Domain Auctions
We will soon be authorising domains for auctions on a daily basis. Here is how we will do it.

We will not be having any gimmicks and any fancy platforms. Just strictly domain auctions. If you want to discuss domains with fellow domainers, then please use our domain forum.

Don’t expect any fancy chat rooms, expert commentary, or any sort of guarantee programs. Just simply domain auctions, with great domains at low prices.

Our target market is for end users and domain investors who wish to buy pre-approved quality domains. Yes, as all domains in our marketplace are pre-approved based on our quality criteria, you can be assured that every domain in our auctions will be an ebusiness (C.O.M.M.E.R.C.I.A.L.) domain.

Auction Reserves
We will not be providing an auction platform that encourages time wasting. Every seller needs a return, and in the case of our auctions, every buyer will get a quality domain name.

We believe that if an aftermarket domain name is worth buying then the least that it should sell for is $500. Any aftermarket domain that is worth less than $500 is not an ebusiness (C.O.M.M.E.R.C.I.A.L.) domain name.

We are solely interested in selling domains that can be used to develop scalable ebusinesses.

So we will be setting minimum reserves of $250 and maximum reserves of $500.

The domain names in our marketplace are worth minimum $1000. So the buyer will definitely be a winner.

With minimum reserves of $250, the seller is guaranteed a return of at least 2,500%, based on the average domain registration fee of $10.

Everyone will be a winner! Both buyer AND seller. And, don’t forget, ALL the domains will be pre-approved based on their quality!

Commission
We will be updating our term of service shortly.

However here is what our revised commission structure will look like:

Selling price $1 to $999  = 0% commission
Selling price $1,000 and above = 5% commission.

Yes, that is ZERO commission if we can’t sell your domains for $1,000 or more. Exdon.com started it, eBusinessDomains.com shall finish it!

If the domain name sells for $999 or less, we will simply connect the buyer and seller to complete the transaction.

The above rates will apply to both domain auctions AND normal domain marketplace sales.

Our domain auction platform is now all set to do business. We have been testing it for the past couple of weeks, and all the bugs that we encountered have now been fixed.

In the very near future we will start sending premium domains to our auctions on a daily basis, right here at eBusinessDomains.com.

We are not aiming to compete with the big boys in the domain auction space. Our aim is to use our domain auction platform as just another useful tool in marketing premium domain names, especially to end-users.

One of the ways in which we will be using our domain auction platform is to use domain auctions to set the right market price for premium domains. When we receive offers on our domains from end-users, we may choose to send the domain to auction where other potential buyers can bid on the domain name. The reserve price will be set at the last offer received prior to the domain going to auction.

Of course, we would do some negotiations prior to the domain name going to auction so as to secure the best possible reserve.

However, NOT ALL of our domain offers will be sent to domain auctions. We will only send domains to auctions if we believe that we will have the right audience who may be interested in the same domain name.

The success of any type of auction depends on the right audience. If we don’t believe we have the right audience or can attract the right audience to a particular domain name then it may not be worthwhile conducting a domain auction.

We will cherry pick which domain offers we send to auction, as the sale of certain premium domains would be better negotiated in the conventional way.

We will however be sending at least one of our premium domains to auction on a daily basis, starting in the very near future.
