Greetings from a very wet London! Why do I live in a place with such miserable weather? But then, I think I know why. I love travelling, and when you live in a wet and miserable place like London, you really want to just hop on an aeroplane and fly somewhere exotic!
If I lived in a sunny and wonderful city or country, I don’t think I would be tempted to travel that much.
Speaking of travel and aeroplanes, our logo contest for Aeroplanes.com over at 99Design is in full swing! On the first day of the contest, I was starting to think that 99Designs was over-rated. I pondering if it wouldn’t have been better to have the logo created a branding specialist/firm.
I am still hoping to see a lot more unique and original concepts for the design, but I think I should be able to choose a winner as it stands.
If you are graphics designer, you will definitely want to be the winner of this contest! I intend to take this brand to the skies, literally! You will want to say “I designed the logo for Aeroplanes.com!”
By the way, take a look at the logo for the London 2012 Olympics? It has got to be the ugliest thing I have ever seen.
Can you believe that thing cost taxpayers £400,000 (US$662,912)?
Don’t have a heart attack. According to this article, it was more for the development of a complete visual identity system. When you read this article and do further research, you just can’t help but appreciate the importance of branding.
If you want to sell domains to end-users, you have to understand the concept of branding. A good place to start is to study the logics and thinking behind the design of the London 2012 logo.
However, with that been said, the logo is just damn disgusting. The Daily Mail (UK) even reported that the controversial 2012 Olympics logo ran into more trouble as it emerged that a video promoting it had triggered migraines and epileptic fits.
I totally agree that the Olympics LOGO – is one of the worst I have ever seen…

The concepts and ideas are now more forthcoming. I am starting see designs that I could work with at all levels.
The end result of the whole project will be something to behold.
The development will take place in stages, as we will need to test a few things along the way.
I don’t have a pilot’s license as yet… but I am tempted to speed it up

when you do go to get your pilot’s license… you can write all that expense off on your taxes as part of your business development for Aeroplanes.com
all you have to do is document everything… also do photographs and vid for podcasting on the site – for a series of Owner Gets Licensed… (Site Content)
