Firstly let me apologies for the late posting, as we had promised to try our best to publish the points allocation of our Blockbuster Domaining Contest on Saturday.

The long Easter weekend here in the UK hampered us, and we didn’t realise that it would take so much time to compile the points from the respective sources.

When the contest was launched, the entry requirement was that contestants join the eBusinessDomains.com forum, which would have earned them 1 point.

To make things much easier and fairer, especially to contestants who do not have blogs, we changed the rules slightly. The new entry requirement was to join the forum and make at least one valid post. This task was worth 10 points.

However, we had quite a few forum members who did not make any posts. Given that we had changed the rules, we decided to award all forum members points.

So we have awarded 10 points just for joining the forum, and 10 points for each thread and 10 points for each posts.

So if you joined, and started a new thread introducing yourself, you could have earned 30 points just by doing that.

For competitive and other pertinent reasons we will not show the breakdown of how the points were earned. However, we have published below the total number of points earned by each contestant.

Forum members who joined and made obvious spam posts (such as links to adult sites) were banned from the forum and are not included in the list of contestants.

Here are how the points were allocated:

Task One
Join forum – 10 points
Start a thread – 10 points
make a sensible post – 10 points

Task Two
Subscribe to our newsletter – 10 points

Task Three (had to complete task two first)
Become a Validated User at eBusinessDomains.com – 10 points

Task Four
Blog about our contest – 10 points

Task Five
Follow eBusinessDomains.com (http://twitter.com/ebusinessnames) on Twitter AND tweet/re-tweet the following:
Just entered to win $17,000 in cash and prizes (put forum id here). Just follow @ebusinessnames and retweet. http://tinyurl.com/ebizwin

The contest is now over, we have scanned the relevant sources for qualifying points, and have now compiled the total points for each contestant.
