Nothing Is Free In Business – Even The Domain Business
Kevin Jackson November 20, 2008 2

There will always be people who want to reap the harvest, but don’t want to sow the seeds first.

There are some that would really want to benefit from services even if it costs serious monies to set up, operate and maintain, but would not be willing to even consider paying anything in return.

Could this be what is holding the domain industry back? Are we not prepared to spend the monies needed to keep the industry moving forward?

We ride the waves high when a service is free, but when asked to pay small fee to keep a service going we smirk, wine and moan like a bunch of paupers.

If you want to make money, you have to spend money. If you want the domain industry to remain a community of lone rangers and penny counters, then keep your hands in your pocket. If you want to see your domaining activities grow into a full fledge business, behave like a businessperson and spend like one.

Just food for thought. Am sure many will know what I’m referring to.

Before anyone comments ask yourself …

Would you even know what the hell Kevin is talking about unless you read an earlier post that you found from the service provided by domaining.com???

    Well said Kevin. Well said.

In the end it’s all about nourishing each other. I think most in the domaining community “get” that. We’ll see how Francois experiments with monetization, he has every right to do so. I’m just thankful that domaining.com is NOT a parked page =)
